Wong Kam-po has won the first
gold medal for Hong Kong at the 11th National
Games.

Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr. Tsang Tak-sing
greets Hong Kong athlete Wong Kam-po at the Hong Kong Sports Institute and
commends him on his outstanding achievement of winning a gold medal yesterday
(October 26) in the men's individual road race of cycling event at the 11th
National Games in Jinan, Shandong. Wong returned to Hong
Kong today (October 27).

The Chief Executive, Mr.
Donald Tsang, visited Shek Kip Mei Park Sports Centre this (October 27) morning
to inspect a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear field exercise
which was conducted to test the responsiveness and co-ordination among all
competition and supporting units in dealing with potential incidents during the
upcoming Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games.
