INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA - Visitors look through a wire fence decorated with
ribbons carrying messages visitors left wishing for the reunification
of the two Koreas, at the Imjingak Pavilion near the border village of
Panmunjom, which has separated the two Koreas since the Korean War, in
Paju, north of Seoul, South Korea, Imjingak is where the
Bridge of Freedom lies. The Freedom bridge does actually cross the Imjin
River, it is a former railroad bridge which was used by repatriated
POWs/soldiers returning from the north. South Korea says it is
considering an offer from the North for companies to visit the Kaesong
joint industrial zone, suspended amid regional tensions.

Korea’s Cha You-ram defeated Japan’s
Chihiro Kawahara on Thursday to take the gold medal in women’s 10-ball
at the Incheon Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
The 25-year-old Korean billiards star, however, said it was a tense match.
“I was uncertain from the first
set to the last. I even thought that everything was going against me,”
Cha said in a press conference afterward.
“But, I thought to myself that I needed to be stronger in such situations and put that thought into action.”
