由香港遊艇會主辦，第二十五屆的「勞力士中國海帆船賽」將於四月一日中午十二時十分於維多利亞港啟航前往位於菲律賓馬尼拉西北面的蘇碧灣。這項亞洲經典的遠洋帆船大賽航程全長565海哩，並由馬尼拉帆船會及蘇碧灣帆船會協辦，並獲得皇家帆船大賽會 (Royal Ocean Racing Club) 的支持，評定為一級離岸賽事。  

回首一九六二年首屆中國海帆船賽只有五艘船隊參賽，現在這兩年一度的「勞力士中國海帆船賽」已成為香港遊艇會的旗艦帆船活動。自二零零七年起，香港遊艇會與勞力士成為長期合作夥伴，這賽事亦躋身勞力士支持的多項卓越國際離岸帆船賽之列。  

就勞力士對世界各地高水準的帆船活動及最尊貴的帆船體育會的支持及承諾，香港遊艇會會長鄧華威(Warwick Downes) 稱：「香港遊艇會非常榮幸得到勞力士的贊助，令這經典遠洋帆船賽事自二零零八年起成為勞力士支持的多項卓越國際離岸帆船賽之列，而這項賽事亦是勞力士首個於亞洲贊助的帆船賽事。勞力士與帆船賽事的密切關係可以追溯到五十年代後期，這項運動的精神與内涵跟勞力士一貫堅持的品牌理念如出一轍：追求卓越、力求精準，並堅持團隊合作精神。勞力士在世界各地與著名帆船俱樂部及主要帆船賽事主辦機構建立緊密網絡，而本會有幸成為其中一份子。得到勞力士的支持，讓這賽事的地位可於國際帆船活動圈內更上一層樓。」
