香港男子七人欖球代表隊在「滙豐世界七人欖球系列賽」之「挑戰者系列賽」(World
Rugby HSBC Sevens Challenger
Series)首站賽事，於銀盃決賽以0-10向德國稱臣，但仍有機會晉身「滙豐世界七人欖球系列賽」。
德國奪冠後手持22分參加下週在烏拉圭的蒙特維多（Montevideo）舉行的第二站賽事，香港則有19分。
德國在四強小勝日本12-5
，香港在四強戰一度落後東道主智利14分，奮戰下反勝對手17-14晉級決賽。
姚錦城完半場前為港隊破蛋，馬金首（Raef
Morrison）和保確特（Kane
Boucaut）易邊後亦建功，
在四強氣走主隊。港隊在同日的八強戰憑利維尼（Jack
Neville）上下半場各達陣一次，以10-7擊敗烏干達。
港隊長途跋涉40小時到南美洲參賽，克服不利因素下挺身決賽
，可惜失望地於決賽以0-10不敵德國，在雙方的七人和十五人欖球交戰史上再添新仇舊恨。

Ka Long Angus broke a title drought that had stretched on for
three years by winning the Princess
Sirivannavari Thailand Masters 2020.
Angus
took an hour to beat Japan’s Kenta
Nishimoto, 16-21 21-13 21-12 to claim the title – his first
since winning the Malaysia Masters in January 2017.
The
third seed beat three Chinese on the way – Lin Dan in the opening
round, Youth Olympic Games champion Li Shi Feng in the second, and
second seed Shi Yu Qi in the semifinals.
