The reigning Masters champion Patrick Reed and the 2017 Green Jacket winner Sergio Garcia will join World Number 11 Tommy Fleetwood and defending champion Wade Ormsby at the Honma Hong Kong Open presented by Amundi from November 22-25, 2018, in the opening event of the European Tour’s 2019 Race to Dubai.

"I’m really excited to play at the Honma Hong Kong Open,” said Reed. “It’s a fantastic week and an incredible city. The people are friendly and so hospitable, it makes for such a great experience for players. Hong Kong Golf Club is such a great golf course, I really enjoyed playing it in my previous two visits and I hope to play really well, have some fun and be in the mix late on Sunday.”

The Honma Hong Kong Open is also one of the last few events remaining on the 2018 Asian Tour season and will play an important role in determining who tops the prestigious Habitat for Humanity standings.

In further exciting news for the tournament, celebrating its 60^th anniversary this year, Amundi Asset Management has today been confirmed as Presenting Partner of the Honma Hong Kong Open. This marks the return of Amundi to the Hong Kong Open, having been a Premier Partner from 2013 to 2015 for the city’s longest-running sporting event, which is tri-sanctioned by the European Tour and Asian Tour, as well as the Hong Kong Golf Association.

The Honma Hong Kong Open has also been recognized as an “M” Mark event to help enhance the image of Hong Kong as Asia’s sports event capital. “M” Mark is awarded by the Major Sports Events Committee, symbolizing an intense, spectacular and signature event in the territory sports calendar.

「保誠香港網球公開賽2018」公佈球星名單，2017年法網冠軍奧絲達賓高（Jelena Ostapenko）；世界排名第七絲維度蓮娜（Elina Svitolina）；日本新星大坂直美（Naomi Osaka）；以及中國排名最高的兩位球手張帥及王薔；均落實參與第五屆賽事。是項WTA國際巡迴賽將於10月6日至14日假維多利亞公園網球主場舉行，總獎金為50萬美元。

「保誠香港網球公開賽」亦宣佈了2018賽事單打其中兩張「外卡」的安排：香港排名頭兩位球手張玲及張瑋桓都獲得「外卡」。兩人在印尼舉行的亞運會中表現不俗，在女單進入八強，而張玲亦夥拍楊柏朗在混雙進入八強。張瑋桓今年七月在香港一項ITF獎金$15,000美元的賽事中，收穫了個人第二項職業比賽單打冠軍。

為了慶祝賽事舉行到第五屆及達致網球普及化的使命，今屆「保誠香港網球公開賽」的「網球同樂區」將會進一步擴充。屆時，「網球同樂區」將移師到網球主場旁的六號足球場，以「帶動全城同樂」為主題，為不同年齡及不同興趣的球迷帶來大量精彩活動及節目。重點節目包括在10月9日、10日及11日，由包括連詩雅等一眾歌星演出的「英國保誠．新城勁爆網球樂勢力 Music Live」；網球主題遊戲，球迷能夠執起球拍體驗網球樂，或參加網球訓練班及其他示範活動；美食車提供的精選餐飲；球星簽名會以及巨型屏幕賽事直播等。
