四年一度的世界球壇盛事正式開鑼，為隆重其事，東港城於今日啟動禮，由新鴻基地產執行董事郭基泓先生及新鴻基地產代理租務部總經理鍾秀蓮小姐主持，並重金禮聘大受港人歡迎的球壇名宿、「紅魔傳奇」傑斯來港聯同香港門神葉鴻輝出席活動。
吸引過千名球迷到場支持，一睹球星風采。傑斯除了擔任啟動儀式嘉賓，更以球壇名宿的獨到眼光即時為各位球迷分析今屆戰況，並預測賽果。隨後，他又首度與香港著名足球守門員葉鴻輝大鬥12碼，即席示範超卓球技，讓現場球迷喝采不絕。適逢父親節，傑斯更出戰親子足球障礙賽，即場與父子檔球迷進行親子互動。
